Why should I invest in Personal Training?

Whether you are a gym newbie or a seasoned gym-rat, one-on-one instruction is simply the best way to learn, improve, and push yourself in all aspects of your training.

In a randomised controlled study conducted by Storer et al, they “demonstrated for the first time in a fitness club setting that members whose training is directed by well-qualified PTrs administering evidence-based training regimens achieve significantly greater improvements in LBM [lean body mass] and other dimensions of fitness than members who direct their own training.” In effect, they saw that people who worked with a Personal Trainer saw up to 50% better results than by training alone! (Storer et al).

For those new to lifting weights or the gym, Personal Training gives you opportunity to ask questions, learn proper form and technique, and improve from week to week. If you’re nervous about attending the gym on your own, or need the extra push to get to the gym, having a Coach by your side makes the experience more enjoyable and engaging.

If you’ve been training for a while, but are struggling to see the results you want, Person Training will take you from good, to great. With specific coaching toward improving existing and new skills, you’ll discover your true potential in and outside of the gym.

Online Coaching

Online coaching is the most flexible option I offer, allowing you to train anywhere, with any equipment you have access to. Whether you train from home, travel a lot, or simply live too far away to train In-Person, Online Coaching can be tailored to your routine, goals, and resources so that your training never has to stop.

Using the Online Coaching platform Truecoach, your training is delivered to your phone or email daily— never walk into the gym without a plan again! I work with you to build a programme bespoke to your unique needs, goals and resources to create structure and progression. You’ll be able to log, track and submit each workout to me for feedback and accountability, so you know you’ll stay on track.

Hybrid Coaching

Hybrid Coaching is the best of both worlds, and the most popular Personal Training Service I offer. Utilising personal instruction with Personal Training sessions, and combining it with my Online Coaching service, you can grow and learn with one-on-one coaching, and practice and improve with your own workout programme!

This service allows you to work one-on-one with your coach, and have structure during the rest of the week. Combining the skills and relationship you develop with your coach, alongside the routine of weekly workouts, you’ll be able to build sustainable habits and make the biggest difference in your progress toward your goals.

What’s it like to train with me?

“When I first started training with Erin I was struggling with pain and weakness from a severe car accident and the injuries I sustained. I had essentially spent 2 years in bed as a result. Erin helped me with my confidence in the gym and to feel safe in what I was doing. She helped ease me into weightlifting which was a goal I had but was terrified of. We based each session on how I was doing each day, which is still something we do 2 years on. She makes it into a casual chat about how I’ve been since we last met and manages to gage how far she can push me based on metrics like my sleep, how busy my week has been, my nutrition, and how I’m feeling that day.

My main focus has been to increase my strength whilst being safe and maintaining good form. I can now lift more than i weigh in various different exercises. I feel confident in the gym and have increased my knowledge and ability massively. She always manages to find a way to explain things if i don’t understand a movement or exercise.

Sessions with Erin are always good fun whilst still working toward my goals. She is kind and compassionate and works incredibly hard to help me achieve my fitness goals, not just in the session but also setting me up for the week with a program to follow.
